Welcome to the IETR

The "Institut d’Électronique et des Technologies du numéRique" is a public laboratory that brings together staff from CNRS (INSIS), Université de Rennes 1, INSA Rennes, CentraleSupélec and Université de Nantes.
The IETR also welcomes researchers associated by hosting agreement (UBO, ESEO d’Angers, IFSTTAR-Nantes).
The institute has some 380 lecturer-researchers, engineers, Ph.D students and admin. staff.

The IETR has a large number of technical platforms used to carry out life-sized experiments and it undertakes a large amount of scientific research both nationally and internationally. It also undertakes a significant number of contractual work for and with industrial companies.

Through its involvement in research topics that are central to the information and communication society, the IETR plays an active role in the following competitiveness clusters :

Researchers at the Institute take on technological and scientific challenges that are helping to shape the society of the future. This website aims to help you share our enthusiasm for our work.
