Prof. Olivier Bonnaud from Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of Rennes, awarded in Nanjing for his scientific and academic contributions

Every year, the Government of Jiangsu Province, whose capital is Nanjing, awards 20 friendship medals, mainly to foreigners who have worked for development and cooperation with this Province. It is one of the most populated in China and has the second highest GDP per capita.
Olivier Bonnaud, Professor Emeritus of the University of Rennes 1 attached to the Department of Microsensors and Microelectronics of the IETR (UMR 6164) is currently Executive Director of the GIP-CNFM and Permanent Guest Professor of the South-East University (S.E.U.). He has been selected for his activities mainly with this university including :

- the implementation in 2006 of the international master’s degree in Microelectronics with the University of Rennes 1,

- his contribution to the implementation of the International Doctoral School between the same institutions and validated in 2018 by the Government of China,

- the creation in 2013 of innovative annual courses for Bachelor students in the S.E.U. Electronics Department,

- the creation in 2014 of a series of annual seminars at the S.E.U. Chien-Shiung Wu Institute (College-Honors),

- his contribution to research activities with the S.E.U. Display Department in conjunction with the IETR Microsensors and Microelectronics Department (UMR 6164),

- his actions on Innovation as part of the "1000 Global Talents" Programme from 2013 to 2016.

The medal was awarded by the Director of International Relationship service of S.E.U. on behalf of the President of the South East University and the President of the Government of Jiangsu Province on 22nd October 2018 in Nanjing.
