Received the PhD degree (Hons.) in electromagnetics from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the Universidade de Lisboa (ULISBOA) in 2014.
From 2014 to 2018, he was a senior research fellow with the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications of Rennes (IETR), University of Rennes 1, working mainly on biomedical applications of wireless power transfer systems. He is presently an associate professor at the ESEO School of Engineering, Angers, France (since 2018). He is also an associate researcher at IETR, UMR CNRS 6164. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed scientific papers. His main research interests lie in the domain of antennas, microwaves, EMC, and biomedical engineering.
Dr. Koohestani is an official member of the IEC standardization working group (WG2 and WG9) in the SC47A French subcommittee on the EMC for integrated circuits. He is a senior member of IEEE.
