Responsable de l'équipe de recherche SurfWave

Chaire Innovation Junior Institute Universitaire de France (IUF)

I was born in Murcia, Spain. I received the M.Sc. degree in telecommunications engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the Technical University of Cartagena, Cartagena, Spain, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. From 2012 to 2015, I was a Research Fellow in Switzerland, at EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) with the Laboratory of Electromagnetism and Antennas.

Currently, I work as associate professor in France, at the Institute National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) de Rennes. Since September 2019, I am in charge of a research team that was later named as SurfWave. I got the HDR (Habilitation à diriger des recherches) diploma in 2021. My current research interests include antennas for space applications, leaky wave antennas, periodic surfaces, waveguide feed chain components, and the evaluation of additive manufacturing’s potential for RF design.

I love working in collaborative projects. I usually work with the European Space Agency (ESA), the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES), and industrial partners like Thales Alenia Space, SWISSto12.
